Quality Management System

Doyon Drilling, Inc. is developing and implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) focused on meeting compliance requirements, and best business practices to meet customer requirements and expectations; improving on DDIs overall quality management across our organization.

The implementation of a QMS at Doyon Drilling, Inc. (DDI), underscores the commitment of our organization to continually improve our delivery of products and services. We work in an industry that places compliance and safety as a top priority; is focused on the customer, and is dedicated to continual improvement of operations across a wide geographical landscape, and diverse professional workforce.

Quality is an integral part of our entire business operation, which is based on the 8 principles of Quality Management outlined in our QMS Policy. DDI’s Quality Management System is structured and documented using four key areas:

  • Our QMS Policy
  • Our QMS Manual
  • QMS Processes and Procedures, and
  • QMS Audits, Reviews, Forms and Records

Doyon Drilling, Inc. (DDI) is committed to implementing a Quality Management System that supports operating as a safe, environmentally sound and cost efficient Oil Well Drilling/Workover Contractor. Our Quality Management System shall follow the 8 principles of Quality Management:

We shall promote, reinforce and maintain the following Goals and Objectives:

  • Meet or exceed compliance standards outlined by government agencies, our industry, and contractual requirements and agreements
  • Implement a Quality Management System focused on meeting Customer expectations and delivery standards
  • Create a culture where commitment to Quality is a fundamental and inherent approach to all we do
  • Educate, involve and empower all members of the DDI Team to improve how we deliver Quality and Value; internally and externally
  • Encourage and foster open communication and collaboration, leading to improvements through ideas from our workforce, our customers and our partners
  • Continuously improve our methods, procedures and delivery of services, through operational evaluation, lessons learned and experiences

Our QMS follows the requirements and structure outlined in the International Standard Organization/ANSI 9001:2008 for Quality, and addresses how we intend to plan, develop, implement and maintain our QMS program.
